an invaluable source of information and advice for someone, like
myself, just starting out in Business. I have specifically found
assistance with my company branding, my web-site and sourcing
furniture and equipment for my office and studio. Add to this
the friendliness and general camaraderie of the Chapter and I
really look forward to my weekly meeting as a lot of my working
time is spent alone in my design studio.
In terms of referrals, I have so far received five referrals
from fellow members of the Chapter and one from a member of another
Chapter. The idea of having all my fellow members out there looking
for business for me is very attractive, especially as many of
the Chapter members are already talking to ideal candidates for
my services in the course of their business.
I have so far enjoyed one BNI training course and am soon to
attend another. All the training is free as part of my membership
which I think is excellent and training is always worthwhile as
it gives you the opportunity to really think about your business
skills and how you can improve them. As the training courses are
regional, you also get the opportunity to network with members
from other Chapters – a “win-win” situation
